Rona on Panet Road has donated a BBQ, a desk/chair/vase/bookshelf combo, gift cards and door prizes to the event! These gifts will be a part of the raffle/silent auction!

Spelling Bee: (n.) A contest in which competitors are eliminated as they fail to spell a given word correctly. Also called spelldown.

Join us for an evening of sordid words and naughty fun!

You’ve never seen a spelling bee like this one. Leave giddy! Leave sexologically knowledgeable! Leave with that afterglow smile on your face!

We are looking for contestants to win some neat prizes! To register as a speller contact Jared at the Rainbow Resource Centre by calling 474-0212 ext. 202 or email jareds@rainbowresourcecentre.org.Location: Club 200, 190 Garry St.

Admission: $5 or more if you’re feeling generous
Start time: 8:00 pm (sharp)

Entertainment featured including competitor JD Francis of Energy 106!And… we encourage all people to come in their most naughtiest librarian outfit. The most outrageous wins a prize (by audience applause).

The Love Nest is donating prizes to the First, Second and Third place spellers, AND we have two pairs of tickets to be won throughout the night! More prizes and updates to come.

So far – The Speller list is up to 14, including some community celebs – JD Francis, Barb Burkowski (Chair of Pride Winnipeg), Amazon Barbee, the winner of Lesbian Lube Wrestling, local Lambda-winning author – Chandra Mayor, some budding Burlesque Artists and MORE!

This event is sure to be INSANE!

Proceeds go to the Youth Educating Against Homophobia (YEAH) Program at the Rainbow Resource Centre. YEAH serves to provide education and awareness to middle and high schools throughout Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario on issues affecting the LGBTT communities including: sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, heterosexism and bullying.
