Information Booth Registration

We are pleased to invite community organizations to the 2nd Annual StandOUT! Gay/Straight Alliance (GSA) and Diversity Provincial Conference! The conference is for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Two-Spirit, Queer, Questioning and Allied* (LGBTTQQA*) youth being held on November 19th, 2012 at The Canad Inns Polo Park Destination Centre.

StandOUT! is an adult facilitated and peer-led leadership conference aimed at supporting youth in taking an active role in creating school environments free from discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender expression and gender identity.  There will be up to 50 schools in attendance with over 350 participants!

The goals of the conference are:

  • To build resilience and personal capacities amongst youth
  • To share knowledge and build skills
  • To create a space of safety and belonging
  • To provide a venue for GSA’s to network and connect with each other
  • To build citizenship
  • Promote community resources

Information booths from various community organizations will be set up in a common area for the whole day for conference participants and teacher/service providers to view and ask questions.

General Exhibit Information:

  • Each booth will be provided with an 8 foot clothed table and two clothed chairs.
  • Exhibitor must be set-up between 7:30 and 8:00, November 19th, 2012 and be taken down between 4:30 pm and 5:00 pm the same day.
  • Parking is available on site.
  • A minimum suggested donation of $50.00 is requested from each exhibitor to cover the cost of two meals and the table rental itself. This is not mandatory – see payment details below.
