REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING AT THE RAINBOW RESOURCE CENTRE:
The RRC provides safer spaces, free of charge, to Community lead Support and/or Discussion groups (CSDG) and/or committees. These groups/committees rely on volunteer facilitators and/or RRC staff. Generally, groups/committees meet weekday evenings.
The regularly scheduled programming the RRC:
DROP-IN COUNSELLING
Every Monday, 4-7 p.m.
The Drop-In Counselling service works on a first come, first serve basis. The last client “appointment” is at 6:30 p.m. Our counsellors consist of qualified volunteers with counselling backgrounds as well as university/college practicum students.
FTM GENDER ALLIANCE OF WINNIPEG: TRANSGENDER SUPPORT GROUP

PEER PROJECT FOR YOUTH (PPY)
Weekly programming; please call 284.2799 for details.
A program that offers Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Two-Spirit, Intersex, Queer, Questioning, and Ally (LGBTTIQQA*) youth a safe, fun place to learn new skills, create projects and celebrate identities.

PEER SUPPORT LINE
7:30-10 p.m. Monday through Friday
Subject to volunteer availability and closed statutory holidays

The Peer Support Line is answered by LGBTT* positive and allied volunteers who have been trained to handle a wide variety of enquiries. Common calls include:
- Individuals, friends, partners, etc. who are questioning their sexuality or gender, coming out and/or requiring support and information
- Requests for counselling
- Requests for information about Winnipeg and/or Manitoba’s queer communities
- Negotiating relationships and communication
- Questions about the Rainbow Resource Centre and the services we offer
Referrals commonly go to:
- Counselling professionals
- Social service organizations
- Health-care professionals
- Lawyers
- Social and support groups

PFLAG: PARENTS AND FRIENDS OF LGBTTIQQA* INDIVIDUALS.
Fourth Thursday, 7 p.m.
PFLAG does not meet in July or August.
The group is originated as support for parents, families, and friends of LGBTTQ persons. However, everyone is welcome to attend and participate. Most recently, we have tended to focus on issues facing trans folk and their families and friends, but again we are not exclusive.

WINNIPEG TRANSGENDER SUPPORT GROUP
Third Friday, 7:30 p.m.
Monthly opportunity to meet other gender variant folk, share information and experiences, in hopes to learn from and support one another. The group also is an opportunity for people to present in their preferred gender in a safe and affirming place. Male to female and female to male, all ages welcome.

If so, please have the group/committee facilitators submit a proposal to the RRC Programming Coordinator that address the following information:

- Purpose of group/committee:
- Type of group/committee: (social, support, discussion, planning, other: please specify)
- When would the group/committee ideally meet and for how long?
- Who is this group/committee intended for?
- Why is this group/committee needed?
- Is there a similar group offered elsewhere in the city?
- The group/committee facilitators names are:
- Will the group/committee have an email address for public use?
- Will the group/committee have a website or social networking group page?
In the proposal, please also include a short introduction about the group/committee facilitators. This introduction may include information about who the group/committee facilitators are, what they do for a living, their LGBTT* community knowledge/experience, group/committee facilitation experience (if any), and motivations for starting this particular group/committee.
Please note that it is standard policy for all RRC staff, volunteers, and group/committee facilitators to have an up-to-date Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check on file. These protective measures ensure the personal safety and privacy of our staff, volunteers, group/committee facilitators, and Centre visitors.

Once the Programming Coordinator reviews the group/committee proposal, they will set up a meeting with the group/committee facilitators and Executive Director to discuss possibilities of using Rainbow Resource Centre space.
